Integrating with Slack

FireHydrant's integration for Slack enables you to fully interact with our entire incident response platform. This allows your engineers to stay in Slack while still leveraging all of the automation FireHydrant provides.

Once you've connected your workspace, you'll be able to drive incidents to resolution completely from Slack without context switching.

Connect your Slack workspace

To connect your Slack workspace:

  1. Go to FireHydrant's integrations page and click Connect Your Workspace.
  2. Follow the link to install the app for Slack.
  3. Verify that the FireHydrant workspace is selected from the drop-down in the top right corner of the Slack installation page
  4. Follow the Slack prompts. That's it! Now you'll be able to run any of the commands that Slack uses.

After you set up the integration, we'll automatically link your Slack account to your FireHydrant account.

Note: Once you've set up your Slack workspace, users should be automatically linked to their Slack accounts when they're invited to your FireHydrant Organization and join. If for some reason they're given a message that they're still unlinked when running Slack commands, they should be able to fix this by manually running /fh link.
